Commissioned for the now-defunct Butchershop Gallery in Vancouver as a part of a groupshow investigating and celebrating alternative artspaces in Vancouver, this piece was a three dimensional sketch of a possible model for a microcinema - built from an open-topped carboard apple box, and cardboard theatre seats, projectors, counters, tables and chairs, the screen was rear-projected upon with a loop of hand-processed 16mm film from outside the box. A sign indicated basic requirements for a microcinema: space, wall, projector, media, time.
