An exorcising of the hoard, an embracing of the trauma of projection gone awry. Two 16mm film projectors illuminate opposite sides of a screen with defocused "found" footage. Both images are denied their intended meaning and shape as they merge into abstraction. Meanwhile, the projectors steadily spill ever-larger heaps of film. Forty images per foot of celluloid rendered as kinetic plastic sculpture. Commissioned by the Vancouver Art Gallery as a live component of their FUSE event in November, 2010.
