Sourced from early failed experiments in creating a handmade emulsion using agar-agar instead of gelatin, and re-purposed a few years later. Studying the materials with a hand-cranked projector permits scanning across the images as well as freeze-frames. Satellite views of ice floes; macro photography of cells; geographies of random patterns; clumping silver nitrate.
